A Chat With Rosemary

I had an amazing chat with Rosemary Ceravolo this past weekend and am happy to announce that she would like to begin looking for a publisher for her husband Joe's manuscript, Mad Angels.

We talked for over an hour and while I certainly can't speak for her, I certainly feel like I have a new friend!

Octopus #9

Look for the Ceravolo piece, for which I just checked the proofs and found several of my spelling/grammatical errors, in Octopus #9, out soon.

According to Mr.s Schomburg and Svalina, "the issue will consist exclusively of Recovery Projects, Essays and Reviews and should launch at some point in the next few weeks--fingers crossed."

Phase one is nearing completion. Perhaps will start looking for his stuff and start talking about him? Maybe, but I doubt my piece is that good!

Ceravolo in Octopus!

Got an email today from Zach Schomburg that Octopus Magazine will be accepting the Ceravolo piece I wrote. They are still editing, etc., but they will be taking it!

Where the Ceravolo Project will go from here, I'm not sure.

By the way, the Recovery Project piece is going to be on Ceravolo's Transmigration Solo, of which I still cannot find a copy. I saw one online recently, put in the order for it, and then got an email a month later saying they didn't actually have it to sell!

If anyone finds a copy at a used bookstore and feels like parting with it, let me know. You'll be rewarded meagerly!

2. The cats down at Octopus are in the process of taking a look at the piece and have been since the end of March. Not sure if they'll like it, but we'll see.

3. What other things could Ceravolo Project be working on? I'm not sure right now, but if anyone has suggestions, leave them in comments, ey?

I've spent some time working on the Recovery Project piece for an upcoming issue of Octopus Magazine. I went up to Special Collections at the University of Iowa library this past Friday in order to look at their copy of Transmigration Solo and I think I have enough notes and quotes to write the piece.

It's due April 1, so I hope to have it finished up soon here.

Hopefully they'll take it!

I've talked to Zachary Schomburg at Octopus Magazine about doing a Recovery Project piece on Ceravolo's Transmigration Solo.

I went this past Friday to the University of Iowa's Special Collections department at the Main Library and sat down with TS and made a few pages of notes, so hopefully soon I'll have the review of the book ready for Octopus.

In other news, someone else has started a Wikipedia article on Ceravolo. If you'd like, please contribute.

Hopefully, I can get other people to join the Ceravolo Project Team!
